The Granary
ST MARGARETS AT CLIFFE

At the end of a long hedge-lined driveway lies another world: a peaceful cottage where horses graze beyond the windows and the White Cliffs are on your doorstep.
Sleeps 6 | 3 Bedrooms | 1.5 Bathrooms | Private Parking | Country Setting | Private Path to the White Cliffs

Set within a beautifully converted barn on a private Kentish farm, The Granary is one of five thoughtfully styled cottages tucked away in this serene, green corner of St Margaret’s-at-Cliffe. Travel down the long, hedge-lined driveway and you arrive at a farm with roots in the 1800s, once known as “Britain’s Frontline Farm”.   No longer worked, it’s now lovingly restored and cared for by the same family who’ve held it for generations.

Inside, The Granary is all soothing colours, exposed beams and inviting cottage-style comfort. The open-plan living area feels both airy and intimate, with soft sofas, a smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen for relaxed evenings in. The dining table at its heart is made for slow breakfasts and quiet dinners, and the bedrooms are light and spacious, dressed in crisp white linen. Horses graze from the back windows, the manicured gardens fill the view from the front, and birdsong does the rest. Beyond the lavender-edged door: There’s no private garden, but you have your own front lawn and seating to catch the sun, plus private parking. A path leads straight into the woodland and on to the famous White Cliffs, with South Foreland Lighthouse and St Margarets Bay both a short walk away.

The Granary is for the guest who wants to unwind, recharge and reconnect.   To walk the cliffs, lose an afternoon to a book, and let the world fall quietly away.
