These general terms apply to all visitors to the Foreland Cottages website and to all enquiries and bookings made directly or through our affiliated platforms.

For confirmed bookings, guests must also read and agree to the Foreland Cottages Booking Terms and Conditions, which provide full details of booking, cancellation, and insurance policies.

• Booking and Payment:
  
  • To secure a booking, payment terms will be displayed at the time of booking.
  • Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card, bank transfer, or other options specified at checkout.
  • For bookings made more than 30 days before arrival, a 25% deposit may be required, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
  • For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation in accordance with our Booking Terms and Conditions.
  • Note: Foreland Cottages no longer holds refundable damage deposits. A non-refundable Waivo insurance fee is included in all bookings to cover accidental damage, as described in our Booking Terms

• Cancellation and Refunds
  
  • All cancellations or amendments must be submitted by the lead booker.
  • Refunds, if applicable, are processed in accordance with the Booking Terms and Conditions and may be subject to administrative or non-refundable charges.
  • Refunds will be made via the original payment method and currency where possible.
  • Refunds may be subject to deductions for administrative fees, processing fees, or any non-refundable charges as specified in the booking terms.

• Check-in and Check-out:
  
  • Check-in and check-out times will be clearly stated in all booking confirmation. Please adhere to these times to ensure a smooth transition for all guests.
  • Standard check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM unless otherwise agreed.
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and may incur additional fees.

• Property Use and Responsibilities:
  
  • Properties are for residential or holiday use only by the named guests on the booking.
  • Guests must treat all properties with care, follow any house rules, and report damage, breakages, or losses immediately to Foreland Cottages.
  • Guests may be charged for repair or replacement costs resulting from damage beyond normal wear and tear.

• Occupancy, Pets, and Smoking:
  
  • The maximum occupancy stated in each property listing must not be exceeded.
  • Parties, events, or gatherings that cause disturbance to neighbours are not permitted.
  • Pets are permitted only in properties where clearly stated, and the number of pets must not exceed the property’s listed limit.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Violation may result in additional cleaning fees or termination of stay without refund.

• Occupancy, Pets, and Smoking:
  
  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay and are advised to obtain suitable travel insurance.
  • Foreland Cottages acts solely as a booking agent on behalf of property owners.
  • The accommodation contract is between the guest (hirer) and the property owner, not with Foreland Cottages.
  • Neither Foreland Cottages nor the property owners shall be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience suffered by guests, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
  • Guests must comply with safety guidance provided in property information materials.

• Complaints and Disputes:
  
  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay and are advised to obtain
  • Any issue arising during a stay should be reported to Foreland Cottages immediately to allow prompt resolution with the property owner.
  • We aim to respond within one (1) business day.
  • Guests agree to attempt amicable resolution before pursuing legal action.

• Agency Arrangement:
  
  • Foreland Cottages Ltd acts as agent for property owners in arranging short-term holiday lettings.
  • We are responsible only for the administration of the booking process.
  • A booking contract becomes effective once full payment is received and written confirmation issued.
  • We do not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18.
  • While every effort is made to ensure accuracy of property descriptions and availability, Foreland Cottages cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from the property itself.
  • Any concerns will be communicated to the relevant property owner for resolution.

• Website Use and Consent:
  
  • All content on this website, including text, photographs, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Foreland Cottages Ltd.
  • Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute website content without written permission.
  • While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, information, prices, and availability displayed on this site may change without notice.
  • Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only, and Foreland Cottages accepts no responsibility for their content.

• Data Protection and Privacy:

  • These terms and any disputes arising under them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

• Changes to Terms:
  
  • Foreland Cottages reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
